International Undergraduate Student Entrance Scholarships at University of Manitoba

The University of Manitoba extends support to students exhibiting academic excellence and financial need through its International Undergraduate Student Entrance Scholarships. These awards aim to recognize the accomplishments of recent high school graduates and provide financial assistance for their tertiary education. Annually, the university allocates over $3.5 million in entrance scholarships to new students.

December 1, 2024: Deadline for BMO Leader of Tomorrow and BMO Indigenous Leader of Tomorrow applications (2025/2026 competition)

February 20, 2024: Deadline for Schulich Leader nominee applications

March 1, 2024: Deadline for admission application and entrance scholarship consideration for Fall 2024

August 1, 2024: Premier’s Healthy Living Scholarship for Youth application deadline

June 30, 2024: Deadline for Chown Centennial Scholarship nominations

July 15, 2024: Deadline for University of Manitoba Entrance Bursary Applications


All new students at UM are automatically considered for a wide range of entrance scholarships and awards. Most entrance scholarships are awarded based on demonstrated academic excellence in the final one or two years of high school. By applying for admission to the university and submitting transcripts, students are automatically considered for the University of Manitoba General Entrance Scholarships and more. However, certain entrance scholarships, such as the BMO Financial Group Leader of Tomorrow Scholarships and the Schulich Leader Scholarships, require separate applications. Eligibility and application requirements vary for each entrance scholarship, so it is essential to carefully review the specific criteria.
