The Ashinaga Spring-Summer Internship Program provides a unique opportunity for university students and recent graduates to gain practical work experience in a dynamic international environment. Hosted by Ashinaga, a Japan-based nonprofit organization, the program offers internships during the spring and summer months, typically lasting for several weeks.
Interns participating in the program have the chance to contribute to Ashinaga’s mission of providing educational and emotional support to orphaned students in Africa. They may work on a variety of projects related to fundraising, marketing, event planning, research, and administrative tasks, depending on their skills and interests.
The internship program aims to provide participants with valuable insights into the nonprofit sector, as well as hands-on experience in areas such as project management, communication, teamwork, and cross-cultural understanding. Interns also have the opportunity to engage with Ashinaga staff members and volunteers from around the world, building networks and friendships that can last a lifetime.
The Ashinaga Spring-Summer Internship Program offers a rewarding and enriching experience for young professionals looking to make a positive impact on society while developing their skills and knowledge in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Ashinaga is a non-profit based in Japan that provides educational and emotional support for orphaned students worldwide. The Ashinaga Internship Program encompasses a variety of departments and functions. Interns have the ability to choose between a number of different fields within the organization, and we hope that by tapping the minds of intellectuals from all over the world we’ll be able to turn Ashinaga into an all-embracing, international NGO. To date we have had over 400 interns from over 90 global universities in several dozen countries.
Interns work with a variety of different teams at our HQ in Tokyo. They are guided through their projects by a dedicated team supervisor, simultaneously gaining transferable skills and an insight into working at an international NGO. Interns will work a part-time flexible schedule (~20h/week) decided upon with their supervisors.
