Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI-IES), aimed at supporting excellent international students pursuing a master’s or PhD program in Ireland [1]. GOI-IES scholarships are fully funded by the Government of Ireland, under the aegis of Irish higher education institutions and higher education authorities. The scheme will offer 60 scholarships to promising young professionals who wish to enroll in either one-year (full-time) master’s or PhD programs. MASTER’S OR DOCTORAL level studies open for applications every year on the first week of November through all disciplines of academic study.
A Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship will be awarded for one year in the case of full-time courses at master’s and Ph.D. level, including travel, tuition, accommodation, and health and other academic-related activities. Besides the €10,000 stipend, the recipient’s higher education host institution must apply a full fee waiver at the relevant institution at which the student is completing the scholarship. As this is a one-year scholarship, scholars are expected to commence their studies for the 2024 intake in either September or October 2024.
An applicant for a Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship must have a domicile of origin outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland/United Kingdom. The requirements to apply for enrollment are that candidates must seek admission to respond to an offer made by an eligible higher education institution from one or several of the above-mentioned institutions in accordance with the admission procedures of the relevant institution. At the time of application, applicants must hold a conditional or firm offer of admission to the institution and provide a copy of the offer letter. A student’s letter would be expected to confirm that they are eligible for full-time study. Since both Russian and Belarussian nationals are involved in current events in Ukraine, they can’t apply. If prospective applicants are to decide whether they are eligible, there are several checking points that must be made regarding the application documentation. An indicative application form is available for information, although no applications may be submitted using this document. The only accepted method of application is through the online submission process. For all types of application, two references must be uploaded onto the online portal. Candidates are also requested to apply one day in advance, and they are advised not to wait for the last date as server-related issues may arise. No applications will be entertained after the due date, and those applications which were submitted before the due date shall, under no circumstances, be allowed to be edited or altered in any way whatsoever.

Scholastic records
Communication skills in verbal expression
Proof of participation in extracurricular activities, access to such things as humanitarian work, politics or the arts, and sports.
